Project
In 2004 I started a new "project" to visit all
cities / towns and villages of Finland. At that time there were 444
municipalities,
one year later 432. That is when I decided to freeze the scope. Naturally I had been to several communs already before but not as a
tourist. So I started from zero, except for including Ahvenanmaa
municipilaties (1-16) as those I had visited extensively already in 1995.Status
I have now visited all municipalities. I started the tour in 2004 and
Finnished in July 2010.

Information of communs Every commun has a page of it's own. That page
covers the following topics:
- Basic facts
- Symbol
- City hall
- Most famous church
- Most famous sights
In addition I have a few words of the town based on my experience (no time
to translate these yet)
Why
I believe that everyone should know their own country well, before
travelling too much around the world. I have been fasfinated about
travelling in my own country and highly recommend it for others. Having
travelled to some 60 countries around world gave an interesting perspective
to sightsee own country. This is a truly beautiful country.
